A workshop for actors wanting to explore exciting new physical approaches to character inspired by Lecoq and Laban’s work on elements.  

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP

Discover character through the elements; earth, fire, water and air. This drop in workshop explores an outside-in approach to unlock new and exciting ways of being. Starting from abstract physical exploration moving on to applying the elements to text. This workshop aims to equip actors with new tools to use in auditions and rehearsals.

You might be required to learn some text for scene work. 

ABOUT REBECCA BANATVALA

Rebecca Banatvala is an actor, writer and teacher. She sits on the Central School of Speech and Drama audition panel for the MA Acting course and also works with students auditioning for drama school. As an actor her theatre credits include: Northanger Abbey (Orange Tree, Bolton Octagon, Stephen Joseph Theatre, Theatre by the Lake) , Sap  ( Paines Plough Roundabout and Soho Theatre / UK Tour);  I F*cked You In My Spaceship (VAULT Festival); Much Ado About Nothing (RSC); Mrs Puntila and her Man Matti (Royal Lyceum Theatre); Rotterdam (UK Tour); The Three Musketeers (The Dukes) and Trident Moon (Finborough Theatre).  

Television credits include Vigil, The Syndicate (BBC) Love, Death & Robots (Netflix), and Emmerdale (ITV). And film credits include The Princess Switch 3 (Netflix). 

She trained at Royal Central School of Speech and Drama.
