Active Analysis: Physical Research for the Imagination with Lucie Dawkins

  • 191 Talgarth Road London W6 8BJ UK (map)

Explore ways of researching a script through structured improvisation.

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP

For: directors, actors, designers and dramaturgs

Explore ways of researching a script through structured improvisation, allowing a company to collaborate in building the world of the play. Drawing inspiration from Stanislavsky’s Opera-Dramatic Studio, this workshop is an introduction into researching a script through embodied exploration rather than with books and pencils. Come and try some new tools for bringing a collaboration to life, and empowering the actor to explore the foundations of a play together with a director.
